You, yourself, are a BRAND. You do not need a business to be a brand nor do you need to be employed either to be a part of one. Our own brand is how we present and represent ourselves to the world.
It comes from our values, our moral codes, our beliefs, our visions, our presentation and our character.
You show up to a job interview half dressed and taking no pride in yourself, well that's your brand. Be PROUD of yourself and have RESPECT to ensure that your brand is the BEST REPRESENTATION OF YOU.
This includes and is not limited to your social profiles. If you do not want anyone to see it because they'll get the wrong impression then you need to do some spring cleaning,

Did you find a job listing you like? I bet you did, but the question I have for you is do you qualify for the position? Listen if you really want to make money at a J.O.B. then you have to put in the work. Don't settle for entry level jobs, go for higher positions if possible, if not work your way up and the only way to do that is to put in the extra effort and get noticed. If you need a certification or more training/education, then do it. Check to see if your employer offers tuition reimbursement. What do you have to lose?
I can guarantee you will find a few individuals at your current or future job that have never moved up and are still stuck at the position they have held for years; most likely because all they do is enough work so they don't get fired. I'm just spitting the truth folks. I'll bet they are some of the biggest complainers and whiners you will ever meet. The odds are against them, their boss is against them, the world is against them and their co-workers and everyone but their own mothers are against them. Do you want to own that label? Come 'on of course you don't. What would you consider yourself: A Professional or A Bum? People have already labeled you based on how you brand yourself. Do they want you on their team? Are you getting picked first, last or not at all? How you brand yourself plays such a significant role throughout life.
